Dr Polly Livermore
Dr Polly Livermore is a Children9s Nurse currently receiving a
National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR)
Advanced Clinical Academic Fellowship (ACAF), and the
Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) CoLead for the GOSH NIHR Biomedical Research Centre
(BRC).
Polly is also an Honorary Associate Professor at the Institute for Child Health
(ICH) and University College London (UCL) where she is the Public
Engagement Lead, supervises MSc and PhD students and is an active
member of the Infection, Immunity and Inflammation Research and Training
Department. Polly is a Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) in the Trust and
supports research on a number of research projects within the Blood, Cell and
Cancer BCC) Directorate.
Polly9s ACAF was the first awarded nationally by the NIHR and the only
awarded to a nurse to date. In the ACAF Polly leads a team of researchers
with the aim of improving psychosocial wellbeing in children and young
people with rheumatological conditions and their families.
To date, the study has delivered 26 focus groups yielding 1748 minutes of
data, a family workshop in London with 25 families and designed, developed
and currently testing a Chatbot (
